Job Purpose

The Assistant Supervisor is responsible for job start-ups and troubleshooting at the direction of the Supervisor or Director of Manufacturing and in co-operation with Quality Control and other departments, as needed, to meet the demands of the production schedule.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Start jobs at the direction of the shift Supervisor
• Respond to technical or quality concerns as needed
• Work Closely with Quality Control to resolve problems
• Trouble-shoot issues and solve problems with machines as they arise
• Communicate needs and issues to the shift Supervisor
• Assist in training operators, as needed, at the direction of the shift supervisor
• Substitute as shift supervisor in the absence of the shift supervisor
• Other duties as assigned by shift supervisor or molding manager

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma, GED or 10 years formal education
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Injection Molding and troubleshooting
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
• Ability to climb up and down ladders
• Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours
• Able to sit for up to 8 hours

• Follow rules and principals of OSHA; participate in OSHA compliance and training as required, needed or assigned
• Perform all job requirements and interdepartmental functions in accordance with ISO procedures; assist in ISO procedural changes and training as required, needed, or assigned
