Job Purpose
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for providing support services to management and all levels of the company and to help with the implementation of policies and procedures that will ensure that Quality is an integral part of the company goals and strategies incorporated into all departments.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for training management and other ADMO, Inc. personnel, customers and suppliers in Quality Principals and Techniques
- Assist executive management in establishing and implementing company goals, policies and procedures that pertain to quality
- Guide management, customers and suppliers towards continuous improvements
- Interface with customers and become the customer’s advocate (voice) within ADMO, Inc
- Provide customer services in the absence of the company President
- Develop/oversee production/inspection/testing criteria in cooperation with Engineering and Manufacturing on existing and new processes or products
- Implement a company wide Preventative and Corrective Action Program in cooperation with other departments
- Coordinate the control of non-conforming product in cooperation with Manufacturing
- Implement a Supplier Management Program, including customer supplied product, in cooperation with Purchasing Department
- Coordinate the control of departmental records company wide in accordance with ISO procedures
- Oversee the training and techniques of the Quality Department personnel
- Coordinate and oversee a company wide calibration system
- Provide for specialized Inspection Services
- Assist other departments in problem solving regarding quality
- Main company coordinator for all ISO inspections and certifications
Educational Requirements and Years of Experience
- BS/BA preferred in a technical or business field or equivalent experience
- ASQ Certification such as CQE, CQMgr. or CRE desired, but not required
- Minimum of 2 years plastic injection molding or manufacturing preferred
- At least 7-10 years of knowledge and experience in the Quality Profession
- Background in Engineering at some level
- Good oral and written communication skills in English
- Must be computer proficient
- Should possess strong organizational, multi-tasking and interdepartmental coordinating skills
- Strong Leadership and Management skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Available to work during all work shifts as needed or required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk and/or stand for up to 8 hours a day
- Must be able to sit at a computer for up to 8 hours a day
- Able to lift 25+ pounds occasionally
- Must be able to operate all required tools for the Quality Department
