Job Purpose

The Quality Assurance Layout Technician fills a role in the monitoring of our quality program.  The QA Technician will ensure the quality specifications set forth by ADMO and our customers.  The successful QA Tech will have an ability to communicate effectively with all levels within our organization.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete and document layouts, PPAPs (including addressing all PPAP needs with Customers) and tool revision change submissions
• Responsible for all incoming inspection
• Ability to perform in-process inspection of molded parts as required
• Develop CMM programs as needed and train Quality Assurance Inspectors
• Train Quality and Molding Personnel regarding new projects and new requirements
• Assist in developing packaging requirements and documenting operator procedures and inspection requirements
• Special Projects – Data Gathering and analysis for internal use
• Update Quality instructions and drawings as needed
• Maintain calibration as needed
• Communicate any problems or issues to the Quality Assurance Manager

Educational Requirements and Years of Experience

• High School Diploma, Some College Preferred
• Minimum 3 years experience in Quality Department, Injection Molding or Manufacturing
• Excellent oral and written communication in English – Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred
• Able to read and interpret blue prints, GD&T experience preferred
• Must have math and statistical skills
• Good knowledge of Capability studies interpretation
• Must have excellent computer skills, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Adobe, Outlook
• CMM programming and operation experience preferred
• Basic knowledge and understanding of ISO procedures NCMR, and 8D process

• Good organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Good problem solving skills
