Job Purpose:
The Project Engineer is responsible for the advancement of ADMO through increased technological advancement, project management, new product and process development, customer relations and process improvement.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage product implementation process from acceptance of customer design and tooling to deliverable samples
- Communicate with clients regarding design revisions and other manufacturing issues
- Increase ADMO’s technological advantage through the understanding and usage of current machines and robotics while researching best options for new equipment acquisition
- Initiate automation improvements to increase efficiency and decrease bottom line expenses
- Oversee and manage maintenance and tooling departments including direct reports of Maintenance and Tooling Managers
- Implement and oversee centralized Preventative Maintenance Program using the Enterprise IQ ERP system
- Manage projects at the direction of the President
- Work with other departments to improve ADMO efficiencies
- Troubleshoot tooling issues and work with customers to resolve
- Other responsibilities as directed by the President
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred and 5+ years of experience; 10+ years in similar role in lieu of degree
- Knowledge and experience working with integrated operating systems (ERP) and utilizing data to ADMO’s benefit
- 5+ years in engineering role with proven success in cost reduction through improved efficiencies
- Knowledge and experience working with quality system requirements such as ISO and QS9000
- Experience with plastics injection molding and tooling preferred
- Knowledge of Quality Control and new product development and documentation
- Lean and Six Sigma knowledge a plus
- Excellent organizational, leadership, management, oral and written skills
Administrative, Technological and Behavioral Skills Required
- Computer savvy (Excel, Outlook, Word, Access, ERP systems, Design software)
- Planning and Organizational Skills; multi-tasking; establish priorities
- Strong leadership and sound decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good Customer Service Skills
- Exhibit discretion and ability to honor confidential matters
- Can do attitude
- Ability to work overtime and travel
